Things I will never understand (8/12/12)

These things just creep me out. There is something just a little bit sinister about them. And that one, the one second from the right, is that a gun he is toting?

Incidentally, they’re German. Never underestimate the Germans.

Also, to those of you who dress them up in your favorite sports’ team’s regalia. Stop it now. I don’t think they like it.

When the neighbor puts a doll with moving eyes next to the one in their yard, I’m moving!

    Please, gnome more.
Did you see the animated film “Gnomeo and Juliet?” Along with “Amelie,” it almost lends a very small and compartmentalized legitimacy to the garden gnome. This is a sentence that I never thought I would write.

I have not seen either. “Amelie” involves gnomes? I did not know that. I actually have serious gnome and troll issues. Seriously. They stem from my childhood. I’m sure I could work it out with some very intensive therapy. Oh, and spider rings. I cannot be around those either!

  5. I laugh because our neighbours just had their front yard done – new driveway, fountain, garden and stuff, and they put one of these little gnomes right beside the stairs. I noticed it just yesterday. I think they are so creepy too.
