Rocking the Yellow Polka Dot Dress

For those of you who read my post “Am I Too Old For This?” and encouraged me to wear the yellow polka dot dress about which I did some mild kvetching, here is the evidence that proves that I followed your sage advice!

The shoes, while they may look red in the picture were, indeed, a fetching shade of coral. And, they were slamming! (Sadly, I had to lose the coral belt — in the end it did not, as I had hoped, pull the ensemble together. In actuality, it just looked weird!)

Thanks again for reading, for commenting, and for giving me a shove in the right direction. I wouldn’t recommend shoving me while I’m wearing these heels, though. No. I would not. Let’s just say that I did my best imitation of ambulation while wearing them, but there was more teetering than I would like to admit. Still, I’ll wear them again! What can I say? I’m a slave to fashion!

I’m happy to report that the delightful Fangette (also pictured above — she’s the cute one on the left sporting her medal of academic achievement!) even went so far as to tell her less than confident in polka dots mother that she “rocked” the look. And, really, it doesn’t get better than that!
